Tree Regressions. Original Mixed Media Collage Painting
Description
Description“Tree Regressions” is an original mixed media collage painting on canvas. The sides are painted black to give the piece a finished look - it also means that you don't have to worry about framing it! The entire piece is sealed with a layer of satin varnish. A high gloss coat can be given to it upon request.InspirationI love looking down a line of trees, and seeing how they naturally regress, although you know they're pretty much all the same - the perspective is like nature's form of mathematics: breathtaking.Measurements6 x 6 x .75"

He's my new INSPIRATION

I just can't stop! I have been creating items since I was a little girl. Most of my creations have been given to family and friends or sold in galleries but I thought etsy was a great place to become more 'public'.My first thought was to create 'story' pendants featuring my yellow lab. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a lot of dogs but none like ‘LARRY’. No, ‘Larry’ is not his real name, but it fits him best. I suppose we should have known since on the day he was born, he decided it was better to head outside in the freezing snow than to snuggle up next to his mother. He nearly froze to death and I think this is where the BRAIN DAMAGE began. So,'Larry’ became my inspiration for my new collection of collages and pendants. go see them at http://www.inabit.etsy.com/

Here is one of my favorite creations. It all started because I found this wonderful vintage school glass globe. I knew it would make a neat light fixture. I went on to find the wire candle holder. I modified it so it would fit around the globe. This way you can have the light on or light the candles for a romantic look. I then went thru my many finds and ran across the off white plaster finials from some drapery rods. I attached them to the bottom of the globe. I also added a metal 'lace-like' bowl to the top to continue in the shabby chic look. I then wanted to give it a more elegant look, so I finished it with some clear beads. It measures approximately 22" across and 16" high. This chandelier would be charming in any setting and what a conversation piece.
